my friend has a fire hydrant in his front yard with a small rod attached to it, can he take the rod off it ?
My friend has a fire hydrant in his front yard, due to us living in the northeast we get a good deal of snow so the local fire department attaches a 3 foot extension rod to the top of the hydrant to make it more visible, but since it is summer now and obviously no snow is falling, would it be okay if he took the rod off of the fire hydrant ?
This is mainly an aesthetics issue and peace of mind issue and we are unsure if it would be okay.
I would see no harm if he were to replace it before the first snowfall!
