How thick must be metal to stop a bullet?
If we had a ball at 900m / s speed from by an AK-47 or M-16 directly to 90 degrees at a distance of 100M, which would be the best metal and how thick the metal should be to stop the ball with penetration ZERO? So my question differently: What is the best metal "shield" against bullets, and how thick Should it be? I know it's a little hard, but I hope there will be someone who knows the answer .. Thank you.
That's actually pretty slow for both guns, but even at that speed is considered anti-armor. You need at least one armor nominal Type IV stop individuals and even, it stops at a single direct hit because the material breaks at the point of impact. Most of these use armor a kind of ceramic material or polyethylene plastic and need to be light so they are quite slim. Call one of the leaders body armor or your local police.
