how twin turbo a carbed sbc?
Well, I got to thinking and thought that instead of about 8 in a large vacuum motor natural to be hit 600hp, i started thinking about forced induction. overeating would be easy, but I leaned over Twin Turbo. becomes complex some plumbing, but I just do not know how I could get it for consumption. I saw that most people go to fuel injection. Trying not to go in this direction, sooo I was wondering if I could use the system's air cleaner spectrum with the double plenum. and then buy a carb for compressors. would that work? it would be about 8-12 psi, so I do not really see a problem, maybe even all plumbing solder. whatr sum ideas? Camaro is a 81 second gen. it has enough space under the hood. electric fan.
And why do you think the twin turbo setup cost less than $ 8000? You always need to rebuild the engine, with less compression pistons, stronger rods, crank, etc. All new gaskets, etc. Then you the cost of turbos and piping, which can be done cheaply, but it will not be reliable or powerful. Then you need a management system engine of some sort, to regulate the flow of fuel into the carburetor. Then you need the extra things, such as heat exchangers, pipes descent, blow valves, etc. Some ideas? Do some research before you decide whether you want to go one way or another. If you want to play, you pay. This is the bottom line. If you want a 600 horsepower, you're looking at $ 8,000, no matter how you go with it.
