What could make my rings change color?
I have two rings that mysteriously change colors sometimes. One of them is sterling silver and the other is white gold. Both are worn on the forefinger of each hand. Sometimes when I wake up, or when I'm in the shower I notice that the rings have changed their silver, usually with a gradient between bronze, metallic blue, purple and black. After some time, The problem usually corrects itself and return the rings to their normal shades. I wear two other cycles of these metals are not affected by any that. This seems to happen only two on my finger. I know they are sterling silver and white gold real because they were both purchased from jewelry stores very good reputation. In no time, or change color affect the color of my fingers underneath. What make this place? Is this typical tarnish? Is this normal? Why this place?
It could be influenced by the soap, the acidity of the skin, moisture in the air. But, rings as others do not, it could be that the alloy used (gold is too soft for use on its own) a few reactions. I suggest taking them to a jeweler and ask if they know what happens.
