What would a horse need to be an oversized trailer?
I think to get a Belgian YO 2 is around 16.3 hh. Now I'm going to assume that the horse people are the ones reading this and do not need further explanation on race and height. So when she arrives mature, it is likely that the horse will need a special trailer for travel? And if so, what changes would be made at a normal trailer? Thank you Gos Girl
The horses of this size need a large xtra, xtra wide trailer. A thoroughbred trailer is bigger, but not larger so it will not quite fit your needs. People will disagree with me, but I find that horses that are over (cover wear 82 years and older) or have a very long neck (Yours will probably not, but my hand is 16.3 boys) do not do well in a trailer load that is oblique just too short. I have a trailer slant load stock that I took the dividers because I put a horse and never let him decide how he will assemble. This trailer stock is 6.5 meters high which is a little short, but as they have so much room to rest, they do not seem to have a problem with it. It is equipped electric brakes which is unusual in a stock trailer, and much needed with larger, heavier horses. The height of the bar chest and buttocks is adjustable so that you can configure it for each horse, regardless of size. I have the option that is 7 feet tall and as wide as it is legal (8 feet I think?). This is my trailer of choice for all Long distance travel and entertainment. When I go to the lake and TrailRider, it is only 15 minutes, so I use the trailer for this stock. Regarding the weight of your guys, it will be less a problem for the trailer and a truck problem. It will at least 3 / 4 ton whatsoever (truck or suburban) with a towing package that will be quite heavy springs, suspension and power to run the trailer brakes.
